About
The Falkirk Bohemians

EST. 1948.

The Falkirk Bohemians were first founded in 1948 after World War 2. Our first production was the light operetta 'Gypsy Love'.

Since then, the Bohemians have put on an annual production of musical theatre classics, cabarets and modern smash hits.

In our history, we're proud to have produced the Scottish Premier of The Sound of Music in 1970, the Scottish Amateur Premier of South Pacific in 1956, The King and I in 1959, The Music Man in 1963, My Fair Lady in 1968, Fiddler on the Roof in 1972, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 1981, Happy as a Sandbag in 1982 and the Scottish Amateur Adult production of high-haired hopping musical smash Hairspray!

The Bohemians pride themselves on being an inclusive and diverse company that feels more like a family. With weekly rehearsals during the Summer months and extras added towards show week, you can't help but get to know each other well. Our show week usually falls around the last week of October/first week of November with the aim of brightening up the darker nights with an evening of sparkle and showbiz.

President

Louise Harland became our president in February 2024. She has been in the company since 2009, joining the company for Calamity Jane. Louise was previously the president of Big Bad Wolf, the local youth theatre society.
For Louise, being a Bohemian is a family affair, with both her brother Andrew and son Aidan performing alongside her.
